A child of a naïve mind
Brought up in a Christian household ignorant, blissful and blind
Yet a bright mind had she
Seeing and hearing things others did not see
Years later still a bright young woman, questions arose
Her life hitting highs and lows
Reaching out to God who was not there
Coming to learn the truth that he did not care
At fifteen she discovered her attraction to both genders
But she knew of the church and homosexual offenders
Quiet she stayed
Until one day played
Her parents loved and accepted her with no ill will
But still this voice in the back of her head was shrill
