Quick paced steps echoing off the walls in the stairwell were the first signs that I was late. I ran now, papers flying out of my bag, of course. I haven't the time to stop, I have to stop being late everyday. My father is going to kill me. I saw the door and swung it open, everyone stared at me and the teacher gave me a condescending look.
"Lovely for you to join us." Mrs. La'mah, my history teacher, said with no emotion, "take your seat Ms. Foster, detention after school." Then she went back to writing on the board.
I took my seat with a exasperated sigh, throwing my backpack against the floor, grabbing a note book and, Of course, I don't have and pencil. I roll my eyes and don't even bother. Mrs. La'mah talks about something stupid treating us as if we can't think for ourselves.
For reference, I have dyslexia. I thought nothing of it when I first started, but now it just makes life that much more annoying. Anyways back to the story.
