The pair was on the couch, squished against each other, a light blanket draped over their knees. Their original plans for that night, which included going to the park and laying under the stars, got rained out. Disappointed, they trudged back to the flat, Phil suggesting they play Sonic again. Dan had agreed, and they'd been in the same place since then.
"I don't have the ability to control hedgehogs!" Phil responded, giggling when Dan died again.
After a few more tries, which turned into fails, Dan made a displeased noise and chuckled the controller at the floor, dramatically falling against the sofa. "I hate this game."
Phil got up and shut the console off, crawling back next to Dan and giving him half a hug. "Then why do you play it so often, hm?"
Rolling his eyes and leaning into the embrace, the younger sighed, "Because I like to slowly kill myself, obviously."
