King Odin sat on the end of the table, and looked at you particularly. "Who is this maiden?"
"She is Loki's love, he fell for her when he went down to Midgard." Thor said bluntly, while Loki, who stood beside you, held your hand and remained reserved.
Odin looked surprised by this new development. "Is this true Loki?"
Loki remained quiet, and simply nodded his head.
You looked over at him and wondered why he was so uncomfortable, yes he did not like Odin, but he was so happy before. Could his mood really change so quickly?
"I see." Odin replied coldly then shook his head once to clear it. "No matter, it will only aid us in our battle against this woman's doppelgänger."
"She has a name." Loki spoke up.
Odin looked at you expectantly.
"My name is _____." You said to provide an answer.

You eyed Tony and Clint warily, you definitely didn’t trust them... but you had already given in and let them have their way. If you were to back out now they would never leave you alone or let you forget your own ‘cowardice’... You slipped your hand into the bag and pulled out the first thing you touched. The billionaire quickly took the small elf figurine from your hand and held it in the air,
“Legolas, you’re up!” You could have sworn you heard Clint squeal, and considering how quickly he ran into the closet, you hazarded a guess that he was excited... Your jaw clenched, forcing your lips into a straight line.
“Nuh-uh, I don’t believe it...

With a sigh, Loki closed his book, set it down on the coffee table beside him and got up from his lying position on the couch. Sitting upright, he glared down at the Midgardian book, (f/b/n), which his girlfriend (y/n) had suggested he read. There it sat, beside the “dictionary” she had given him, seeming to mock his restless state. He liked the book, he really did, but… he didn’t feel like reading. He didn’t feel like doing anything, but at the same time he wanted to do something. The so-called God of Mischief scowled. Boredom was one of the few things he couldn’t trick.
That’s right; Loki was bored. Even with a whole tower full of wild and whacky Avengers. Tony and Bruce were being science-y, Clint was being their lab rat, Natasha, Sam, Bucky and Steve were out at the park, Thor was Heimdall-knows-where and (y/n) was―

I had to make sure; I had to be absolutely certain before I really thought about it. I couldn’t just believe that my arm truly had turned blue when the Jotun touched it; that was too absurd for me to accept. My arm was supposed to have frozen in the grip of that creature. I should have had severe frostbite; and yet my arm was perfectly fine. I had barely felt any cold at all when he had grabbed me.
I’ve always had a high tolerance for low temperatures, and now I fear what that may mean. Tolerance to extreme cold; my skin turning blue when I’m touched by a Jotun…. I didn’t want to continue that thought. But I had to know. And so I went to the trophy room where the Casket of Ancient Winters was kept.
I approached it cautiously; I was hesitant to touch it, for I was afraid of what might happen. Pushing through my fears, I quickly grabbed it by the handles, keeping my eyes on my hands. I watched in horror as a blue tint spread fro
