This is a Labradorite carefully hand wrapped in Argentium sterling silver. Honestly, sometimes I just plain run out of creative names for these. But, this stone is so wonderful that I kept it simple and descriptive!!

Labradorite is an amazing stone that can appear dark at first, until you move it and the stone comes alive with colors flashing within. The effect is similar in appearance to opal fire. It is called chatoyancy/labradorescence, which is a fancy way of saying that the color 'flashes' or 'rolls' across the stone, like cat's-eye but far more vibrantly. It is a natural stone, and the effect is caused by refractive layers within the stone.

FAQ stuff:

- Yes! I do sell these! They are for sale here: featherdust.storenvy.com/colle…

-I hand wrap these pieces with nothing more than my fingers and some bitty pliers.
-I purchase the stones already cut and polished from rock and gem shows.
-My silver is purchased directly from a precious metals silver refinery.
-I use several different gauge and shaped wires in each piece.
-My methods are 100% self taught, unplanned, and haphazard; as such, I do not plan on creating tutorials on how to make these. If you want to learn wire-wrapping there are already some good tutorials out there if you search on Google. Just please be respectful of the work and years I've invested in learning how to create my pendants and don't directly copy my work (I rely on these to pay my bills!).

Thanks for looking. :)

An Autumn themed Tree of Life pendant made with Carnelian stones. While working with them, I swear I could smell an orange creamsicle somewhere! Hehe. Enjoy!

Oxidized creations bear no protective coating or false coloring of wire. This pendant will continue to tarnish and naturally change through the years.

The Tree of Life symbolizes spiritual growth and wisdom, strength, protection, and connectedness. It is a healthy model that inspires the spirit and encourages hope in all hearts.

These are delicate, wire wrapped pendants that should be handled with care. Some of the stones, glass, or shells used to create the tree can break if handled roughly.

Thistle - symbol of a free Scotland. It's a wire copper pendant. I used solder to make a thistle flower and its sharp leaves. It was a long process. In the end, I realized that I love to weave wire, and do not like to engage in soldering.

The other day, I came across some InuYasha art here on DA and had warm fuzzy nostalgic feelings about it  InuYasha was the first anime I ever watched and has always been one of my favorites. I'm surprised I didn't think of this idea until now lol.

For this pendant, I've incorporated The Sacred Tree/Tree of Ages from InuYasha. This is the tree to which Kikyo bound InuYasha with her sacred arrow. It is also the tree that created the Bone Eater's Well, that connects the Feudal era with the present, allowing Kagome to pass through time and into the past. The pink little stones you see are Pink Tourmaline, and I've used them to represent the Sacred Jewel shards ^.^ The other green stones are a combination of malachite, peridot, and dark green aventurine. Click my etsy link if you'd like to see more pictures!

The reason I used clay for the trunk is because I couldn't do the little silver band and tassels around it with just a wire trunk. I had to make it thicker, thus the use of clay. Enjoy everyone!
