Description
This is one of the few pieces of work I had scanned in before sending my computer off for repairs, so I at least have a couple of things to upload until it gets back in my possession. Until then... have some Shining Armor!
This was a doodle I decided to fix up and color to make it pretty so I'd have another possible print item with Shiny featured on it. This may be a sticker or perhaps a keychain, but we'll see what I do with it. And suggestions are welcome though. :3
Anyway, just 'cause I headcanon everything, I do believe I'll go ahead and say some headcanon here. For those of you who don't know, this is how I personally see Shining Armor in my headcanon; he has a few battle scars and he has a thick beard. Sometimes he completely shaves it off (usually when he's about to be deployed for duty) but a lot of the time he just lets it grow and keeps it well kempt so it won't get out of control. Same with his mane; often he cuts it shorter due to his status as a soldier, but every now and then he'll allow it to grow out. Cadance really digs his mane when it's long; it makes him look like a rockstar. xD
As for Shining Armor himself, he was once the Captain of the Royal Guard but he has since given that title up due to his move to the Crystal Empire with his wife. Due to Cadance being crowned the Queen of the Crystal Empire and Shiny being married to her, he in proxy is technically the King of the Crystal Empire as well.
What's unusual about Shining Armor is the fact that his horn is very slightly curved. Now, a curved horn is typically an alicorn-exclusive trait, however unicorns CAN get curves in their horns although they're no where near as prominent as a alicorn horn. The very slight curve of the horn is a very rare and recessive trait that a unicorn can possibly carry, but both parents must have the trait in order for their offspring to possibly be born with the slight curve to the horn. Shining Armor and Twilight Sparkle both inherited this curve whereas neither parent has curved horns themselves.
Aaaaand... yep. So some quick headcanon for ya. Feel free to ask any questions you may have. :3
