Sasuke Uchiha vs. Tsubaki Yayoi

It's never easy having a best friend turned to the dark side.

Sasuke Uchiha

Naruto Uzumaki's best friend and rival. Because of his obsession with revenge against his older brother, Itachi, he defected to Orochimaru when he is getting jealous of how Naruto is surpassing him, believing that he will not get strong against his brother if he continues to stay in the Hidden Leaf Village.

Two and a half years later, Sasuke has finally killed Itachi, but he learned the truth that he did it due to the orders from the Leaf. This gives him a new goal; to destroy the Hidden Leaf Village. After having killed Danzo Shimura, the mastermind of the Uchiha clan massacre, he gets into a fight with his former team, Team 7, consisting of Naruto, Sakura Haruno, and Kakashi Hatake which he escapes with Tobi and plans to transplant Itachi's eyes into himself, gaining the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan.

After teaming up with Itachi, who was revived with the Reanimation Jutsu, against Kabuto, he begins to wonder of his path so he seeks out Orochimaru for answers. The latter revives the four Hokages to do so, and the First Hokage tells the story between him and Madara to determine the fate of the village.

Having thought back of his adventures, Sasuke has decided to inherit Itachi's will by fighting against Madara for the Hidden Leaf Village and fights alongside Naruto and Sakura, bringing Team 7 together once again.

Tsubaki Yayoi

Noel Vermillion's best friend. Hazama/Terumi Yuuki manipulated her into believing that Jin Kisaragi has chose Noel over her, and that she becomes jealous of this. As a result, she defected to NOL.

Her true ending shows that she got the chance to kill Noel, but she can't bring herself to do it, and gets confused on which side she's on. As a result, Hazama brainwashes him to continue in serving NOL.

One month later, Tsubaki has been promoted to Major for fending off Ragna the Blooodedge's terrorist attacks. Once again, not only she encounters Noel, but also Jin, and Makoto Nanaya, one of her former classmates at the Military Academy. Unable to understand why Noel can't fight back against her, she awakens as Izayoi where Izanami, the true main villain, takes control of her, but she's struggling for control. Inside the deep recesses of her mind, she is encouraged by Hakumen to be free from her control by agreeing to inherit Jin's will.

Finally freed from the brainwashing, Tsubaki tearfully apologizes to Jin, Noel, and Makoto for hurting them, and joins them in fighting against Izanami and what's left of NOL.

Of course, they have redeemed themselves. Only one question...
