I'm VERY happy with the way things worked out with this picture, I inked it in pencil and scanned it, colored it digitally 8D
I had asked How animator's inked and colored the cells (seeing as everything is digitally colored, no longer hand painted) and he told me that it was all infact inked with a dark lead pencil (if i remember correctly) and then colored in a program called ToonBoom

So i have tried before, and didnt do as well as i liked with the inking in pencil and scanning it. Then as of recently i decided i wanted to give it another go, so i drew Zira on a piece of paper, got my ancient light box ,which died after i inked her nose lol, so i opened my window and used the sun as a giant light bulb lol (my dog was giving me weird look)

and then, using 's youtube video as a tutorial on how i can color my pencil inked lines;

Not as smooth as i wanted (i didnt have the right pencil)
but i like it
and i plan on doing more pictures like this, because, as great as a tablet is, there's just something about an actual hand drawn image/sketch that just screams "I HAVE MORE LIFE AND FEELING!!"

though i think i can pull off almost the same feeling with a tablet lol.

but i did quite enjoy this.

and I listened/watched this for inspiration whilst sketching/inking her.
