Details

Personality: Aodhán has marked himself out as a rather shy young fawn so far. He rarely strayed from his mother's side despite showing a great interest in the world around him. His mother was exasperated by his shyness at times however she was certain that he would eventually come out of his shell - a fact that she never hesitated to stress to her fawn's sire. Aodhán is a kind-hearted fawn however his shyness often means he doesn't get a chance to show his kindness to others. Aodhán is very observant and extremely clever, a trait that is proving itself more and more as he grows. He loved his mother very much as a very young fawn and would rather stay with her than play with any other fawnlings or animals. Aodhán thinks the world of his dam and, while seeing a lot of and respecting his sire, he had already begun to feel sad for his momma when his father talked to her badly, something which will lead into him disagreeing with some of the things his sire said about his mother and does in general - mostly things that attempt to define the "weakness" of does, a trait characteristic of Silverthorne stags. Due to not really seeing other fawnlings, as his mother wandered further from the inner sanctuary of the herd, Aodhan spent his early days free from most of the ideals of the herd; the ones he was subjected to were those of his sire and dam. His dam was quite a free thinker; while believing that stags are strong defenders of the herd, she believed does are strong in their own right and should be warriors with as much respect as stags. However his sire believed that does are fragile creatures that need to be protected. The Silverthorne God of the Sky, Adhar, and Grian, the Goddess of the Sun, play a large role in his life; both his dam and sire claimed Adhar and Grian as their favoured deities.

When his parents disappeared, Aodhan's world was turned upside down. He was a pale, nervous, shivering wreck when he was found by Felina in the Silverwood. The kindly doe took him in and looked after him, something which he will be forever grateful for. Through her he also met one of his closest friends, a bold young colt called Raiden. He also met a young buck a couple of years older than him, called Castiel. These friends have made a huge impact on Aodhan, and have continually helped him to come out of his shell. At three years old he was more confident than he ever believed he would be, and since then he has continued to grow in confidence and courage. He wants nothing more than to follow his sire and his friends and become a soldier.

Appearance: Aodhán is a pale colt that, while not dead white, has earned the nickname "Ghost" through his colour and his shyness. He is has piercing pale blue eyes and little hair besides that on his tail. He is long legged, doey-eyed, unique in that he normally looks terrified due to his shyness.

History: Aodhán was born deep in Silverthorne territory, on the summer solstice. However over the two months of his short little life his mother has begun to wonder further towards the outskirts of the territory towards the edges of Silverwood, something which her mate and Aodhán's sire disapproved of greatly, though he didn't stop her due to his love for her. His mother wouldn't tell Aodhán, but it was a move provoked primarily by his shyness; she didn't want the others to ostracise him because of his shyness. She knew her mate would have found it shameful if his son were not as brave and outgoing as he were...even away from the others, she knew the stag was more than a little frustrated at Aodhán's lack of forward behaviour despite the love he held for the young colt.
In late Fall, 759, Aodhán's mother left him waiting in the bushes near Silvervale as she went off somewhere unknown. She never came back, and Aodhan has no idea what caused her to leave. He hasn't seen his sire either, not since his mother left. A tiny colt such as himself couldn't survive long on his own, so it was a blessing when a kindly doe called Felina found him and took him in. He grew strong and healthy in her care.
At the age of 3, Aodhan found himself wandering further and further away from Felina, and he began to find himself some friends and take his place in the herd. With the help of his friends Raiden and Castiel his confidence has improved drastically, though he still stutters (this disappears when he is extremely happy/excited) and is usually more timid especially when surrounded by lots of people or meeting people for the first time. He is determined now to follow his friends and become a soldier, something which he is shaping up to quite nicely despite his rocky, shy start.
