Capes. How come they’re so ridiculously difficult to draw, considering that they’re only angular pieces of cloth.
By the way, the way I draw my characters' clothes is not terribly consistent. I always forget how they looked and I keep adding or removing details, such as buttons or seams. The cape in this particular outfit is removable, so are the gloves and fascia. The standard cardinal choir dress also includes a hat of some kind (but one does not simply wear hats if they have upright ears like this) and an episcopal ring (which I always forget). This character is relatively wealthy at this point, so he probably has a wardrobe full of various outfits with slightly different details.
