A two-time Community Volunteer for the deviantART Related category, Anne is well-known as a positive, helpful force. She is the community's resident expert when it comes to CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), and her personal gallery offers a wide variety of tutorials for new and experienced coders alike. In addition, each winter she hosts a calendar project encouraging members to create Journal designs for all to use, bringing more creativity to the community.

It is with immense gratitude that we acknowledge Anne as the recipient of the Deviousness Award for October 2014.

First off, great stuff! Clean shot with your phone. Good set of colouration, warm colours dividing the focal point from the landscape. The heart cloud is put a third of the overall picture, well done there instead of typical central shots. Pretty even landscape with accenting trees on the opposite side of the main cloud mass.

I'm glad you chose not to include the sun as it would have overpowered the shot of the clouds. The lights are a bit distracting though you can't exactly turn those off. XD I liked the blocked out sections in this shot, we have the black silhouette of the ground and trees, then a block of colourful clouds, and then a pretty neutral sky to top it off.

Great job! Looking forward to more.

This is a very grand piece of art. I love how the scenery can grip with in its beauty, and it's very realistic in its own sort of way. The fact you can see an extensive background behind it makes me feel like this is only a fraction of the beauty I see here; that there is more like this, and probably better, area out there. It's also very majestic; overlooking a vast scene of waterfalls, floating islands, statues of god knows how old... amazing work! I hope to see more art like this in your gallery, and I can tell other people agree with me on this.

At first glace I didn't notice anything special about this piece but now that I am looking at it I see several things that I really like. Blue is my favorite color and I see several shades of it in this piece. I like how the light blues and darks mix in waves. I like how the darker blue outlines the lighter blue in the waves closest to the shore. The pencil markings look like words. It doesn't have to be any different to be a special piece of work. I like how simple it is, and all the blue. Good work!

Is the meaning of a work of art that which the artist meant it to be, or what it means to the viewer?
