The heros continued to trudge along the path, but with some of the injuries, it was a slow process. Zoidius kept scratching at the crystals along his neck.
"ARGGH! Damn! I can't take it, these are so annoying!" Zoidius then took the crystals off and removed the string they were attached to. He lifted his tail infront of him, and placed the crystals inside a tail brace. The crystals slid in perfectly and Zoidius continued walking.
"What the hell? If you could put them in your brace, why did you have them around your neck?" asked Dempsey.
"I thought...it...would make me uhhh look cooler." Zoidius said, looking sheepish.
"You thought...

"Well, as I said, we're travellers. We're heading to Warfang." said Zoidius. He didn't feel good about lying, but had he told them the real reasons, the villagers might not want them to stay, and they need the rest.
"Warfang is quite a long ways away. Where did you come from?" asked Kala, lying down on the grass. The other dragons lost all suspicion and gathered around the three visitors. Some of the hatchlings came up to Nikolai and sniffed him.
"You smell funny..." squeaked a hatchling with sky blue scales.
"That would be the vodka...I think..." Nikolai took a deep breath. "Yeah, that would be the vodka."
Zoidius and Dempsey sat

Spyro woke up to find himself lying on a cold stone. He slowly pushed himself up and began to shiver.
"It's cold here..." Spyro walked foward and began to observe his surrondings. He was on a giant platform of stone, floating in a vast void with debris floating out in the distance, with snow falling from the sky. He ran and glided down to a lower platform with a big blue basin surronded by pillars with blue runes on them. Spyro walked up to the basin and looked down into it, seeing nothing.
"Chronicler? Are you there?" Spyro received no response. "I've done what you asked of me. But now I'm afraid I'm lost." This time, the Chronicler

Zoidius was pacing his cell, trying to figure out a way to escape. He stopped when he heard the door leading to the prison block open. He walked to his cell bars to look out and find Spyro, unconscious and being carried by two pirates.
"Spyro! You bastards, what did you do to him?!" growled Zoidius, watching as the pirates placed Spyro in his cell and locked the door. The pirates replied by grunting and walked away.
"Zoid! What happened?" asked Dempsey, concerned.
"I don't know! Spyro! Spyro, can you hear me?" Zoidius continued to watch Spyro, now with worry filling inside him.

"Spyro! You're all right!" yelled Zoidius. He dashed forward with the humans close behind. He quickly turned his gaze to Cynder. His feeling of relief was replaced by an irritating curiosity, as if he felt he met her before. He decided he would find out later as in the middle of a pirate arena was not the place or time to answer such a question.
The pirate audience roared their outrage and instead of throwing rocks or wooden tankards, they began to hurl knives and dynamite. Zoidius quickly placed a plasma shield around the group and the knives disintergrated when t

Ignitus walked through the door and into the main training room, where Terrador, Volteer and Cyril were sitting, panting from exhaustion.
"Is everyone alright?" asked Ignitus.
"A few scrapes and bruises, but nothing that time will not heal." said Terrador. Cyril was blowing ice onto his wounds. Cyril then padded to Volteer and did the same to him, much to the displeasure of Volteer.
"Would you stop squirming Volteer? I can't do this properly if you keep moving around."
"I assure you, this is completely unnecessary! I will clean my own wounds!" Volteer then broke off and moved into a corner on the other side of the training room. Cyril jus

"Comrade Spyro! Are you alright? What happened?" asked Nikolai frantically. Spyro just coughed and slowly pushed himself to his feet. Nikolai and Takeo grabbed him, and pushed up with him.
"I'm fine. I-" Spyro stopped speaking as he saw the pirate bodies. "What happened?"
"You fell unconscious and they heard us. We had no choice but to eliminate them." answered Nikolai.
"I see. Well anyways, I had a vision and through this vision, I re-learned my ice powers."
"Re-learned?" Takeo asked. Spyro then explained what he went through and what he saw.
"I see, so you thi

The group managed to dash behind a very large tree the moment the source of the voices became visible. Four pirates walked through the trees across from their hiding place. One large, eight foot, pirate with a saber, was walking with three smaller ones that carried no weapons.
"Alright maggots! Time to spread out." ordered the larger pirate. "Don't bother snaring anything smaller than a scurvy wing. Skabb only wants prize fighters this time and double the bounty for the one who captures Arrrborick." The smaller pirates did a small cheer and began to spread out.

Nikolai looked at the spot where his PPSh-41 fell off the ship. He then turned his eyes to the Dreadwing he had thrown the empty gun at. The Dreadwing was lying on the deck, with its belly flat on the wood. Nikolai then reached for his final, long range weapon on his back: his scoped Mosin-Nagant. It is a powerful rifle that chamber only five rounds, but Nikolai didn't care. It couldn't replace the joy he felt when using the PPSh-41. His Mosin-Nagant couldn't replicate the automatic feeling the PPSh-41 gave when it vomited its bullets. Nikolai sighed and mumbled, "Lo

"How much longer?" groaned Sparx.
"I don't know! Quit asking!" Spyro replied impatiently with a clack of his teeth. It has been two hours since their battle with the statues and the path they were walking along seemed to have no end. Richtofen was starting to groan as well.
"Zis had better be vorth it!" Richtofen's boots were killing his feet and he had longed to massaged them.
Spyro could see that Takeo was starting to show signs of irritation both from the endless path and Sparx's constant whining. By some miracle, Takeo had shown incredible patience, until now. His face was starting put on a sour look and he would occasionly put his

"Are you ready for more?!" asked Scratch. The pirate audience cheered in affirmative.
"Then without further ado...please give a hAAAAArty welcome to...Spyro the dragon!" The portcullis raised and Spyro stepped out into the arena, receiving a lour roar from the crowd. "And his opponent...needing little introduction..."
"The captain of crunch...the prince of pain himself..." cried Sniff.
"The one and only...Ravage Rider!!!" finished Scratch. The crowd cheered even louder and a shadow began to form on the ground. Spyro looked up to see a giant, floating s

"Ha! We made it! Good job Kraut!" laughed Dempsey, patting Richtofen on the shoulder. "So this is Verdun? Not really what I expected." Dempsey looked around at the forest and noted the fact that many of the trees looked like giant mushrooms. He diverted his attention towards the temple. He noted the bridge and two dragon statues in front of, what he presumed to be a door.
A sudden click made Dempsey turn around. Dempsey was shocked to find Nikolai pointing his gun at him. Takeo and Richtofen pointed their guns at him aswell. Dempsey, confused, backed away slowly with his hands up as if he was surrendering.

The six of them kept trudging along the dirt path, completely quiet. The four soldiers had their guns out in their arms, should they need it again if they are attacked. Pretty soon, exhaustion was beginning to set it.
"Aw man. My feet hurt. Can we take a break?" asked Dempsey. He sat down to the side of the path, grasped his feet and tried to massage them through his boots.
"Get up." said Nikolai. "We can't stop now. We could be attacked again should we remain idle."
"...attacked again should we remain idle." mimicked Dempsey. "There ain't going to be anymore trouble we can't handle."

"Well, I don't see a reason to stay here any longer" said Spyro. He had studied the map and knew where he was going, but he felt he must go alone. "You should all stay here while I head to the White Isle." The replies he received were those of protests.
"Uh-uh. You ain't goin' anywhere without me." said Dempsey, shaking his head.
"I vill agree vith the stupid American, you can't go vhere you please and not expect us to come along." said Richtofen.
"They're right Spyro. We can't lose you." Zoidius raised his head to the skies. The last of the Ape's Dreadwings were still patrolling.

As Takeo, Spyro, Sparx, and Richtofen took two steps into the hallway, the floor underneath them collapsed. The fire spreading throughout the ship had weakened the support and caused it become unstable.
"Oh...Scheisse!" exclaimed Richtofen. He was the first one to hit the ground. As soon as he hit, Richtofen covered his head with his arms to protect it from the some of the debris. Luckily, none of the larger and more dangerous pieces landed near him. Takeo landed on his feet, but went on his knees after a plank had hit him in the back. The fuel tank slung on Takeo'
