Artists of Waterscapes: EmilStojekI had the pleasure of interviewing the lovely EmilStojek, and I will be sharing this interview with you today! Don't forget to check out his full gallery!
Hi! Let's start off with the obvious: Can you tell us a little about yourself?
My name is Emil Stojek. I'm 37 years old and live in Warsaw, Poland. I'm a self-taught photographer. I mainly use long exposure technique because for me it is the best way to express my emotions, my view of the world. I shoot mainly waterscapes so the composition, the form is much more clear when I use this technique. I rarely make works in colour. Colour for me must bring something to the photo if not - it's expendable. I am introvert with a very low self esteem so every published work is a challenge for me. I hate sunsets and sunrises but I have to deal with them - usually only then the light is satisfactory.
What attracts your to APN Photography, and Photography in
too fast too fast too fast
Panic is a constant and
My heart's beating too quickly or
not beating at all
a while but
I guess you missed seeing me not smile.
My ex-lover told me my eyes sparkle but
She didn't know they sparkle with unshed tears
I'm every cliché that ever existed so
please please please
Wish on me,
Wish for me
Because lately I've been wishing for you.
I am everyone's midnight confession but
If you ask them in broad daylight
They wouldn't recognize me
We're emotional drunkards at 3 A.M. but
You're always sober by morning and
You left your smashed champagne bottles behind;
I guess broken glass looks more beautiful by moonlight.
Being in love and panic attacks
both feel like being on fire
Someone lit a match and
Someone poured gasoline on
My soon-to-be cold ashes
This is why I have pyrophobia.
Call me your phoenix,
Tell me it's okay to be made of flames
And just hold me tight when you don't
