“Hi, it’s Jude, leave a message!”
Dane stood quietly by the receiver, holding the phone in his hand. He had bags under his eyes and looked like he hadn’t slept nearly all week. He had barely eaten, either, and felt like he’d already shed a few pounds in the two weeks he’d been there.
“Um…” he breathed in, “Jude. It’s Dane.” It was hard trying to compose himself, this could potentially be the last time he would be able to talk with her and she was still angry at him and not answering.

(BEEP BEEP BEEP BE- ... SMACK)
"Woo-hoo! Spring Break!" Mae thought while yawning. Looking at her clock; her eyes widened a little. She shot up from her bed and got ready for school. She ran downstairs to eat some breakfast before heading to Summers High. Mae stopped on her porch and checked her watch (6:55 AM). "I can't walk, or I'll be late... I have to hurry," she thought out loud with an irritated sigh.
(TIME IS 7:20 AM)
As Mae got to school she ran to where her friends were waiting at. She was panting by the time they had seen her. They were all genuinely worried considering Mae has never missed a single day of school since the beginning of their Freshman year.
Hannah looked at her friend. "Wow, Mae... we thought you'd never get here." Hannah was sure that Mae was looking a bit pale, and worried a little more.
Abigail looked at Mae and said "You should sit down before you pass out." She helped Mae to their classroom and told her to calm herself.
