Gerta blinked a few times. “That’s…quite a name.”
“I made it myself,” said the raven, preening. “I stole the very shiniest words and hoarded them all up until they made something worth having. ‘Sound’ and 'God’ were particularly well-guarded. 'Crunching’ I found in a squirrel nest, though."

Leap DayThe 29th of February entered the hall a little nervously. It was time for all the days of the year to gather together in order to prepare for setting up the UK calendar for 2016. All the other days attended annually but it had been four years since the 29th of February had been to one of these meetings.
It looked around. Over in the February corner, the 28 days were lined up in four neat rows.
The 29th took a deep breath and headed on over. As it approached, it could hear the 1st addressing the others.

“Oh, Fortnights.” That sounded like the 18th. “It can’t have come round again already, can it?”
