Her breathing became panting as she picked up the pace, eager to outrun the monster chasing her. Loud growls and fast-paced footsteps could be heard from behind her as she ran, and they were getting louder by the second, signaling that she would be doomed any minute.
Suddenly, the growls behind her start turning into small yells, and Cotton yelps in fear as she trips over a tree root on the forest ground. She doesn't even take a moment to look behind her, as she was both too scared and too convinced that if she did, then the monster- or whatever it was that was chasing her- would get her. Instead, she bolts right back up, and immediately begins to run again.

They wanted to head toward a pick-up point, a truck that was located a couple streets down, as they rushed down the allies and near abounded streets in order to get there. Napoleon and Cotton had choice but to lead the way, as they had to pick up the pace faster and faster.
