On the way home, we swing by the hob. It’s District 12’s own little black market. Most of the businesses are closed at this time because of the reaping, but it’s surprising to see that the Hob is still pretty full. We stop by Greasy Sae’s, and trade some of the meat Katniss shot. Now, I don’t know about Katniss, but putting Wild dog in soup isn't my preferred dish, but here you can’t be picky.

Calypso couldn’t make out the nauseous feeling in the pit of her stomach, maybe it was the nerves or maybe she ate too much food before she left. If it was nerves it was too late to back out. She had trained too hard to give up that opportunity . . .
Calypso pulled at the neckline of her attire, then bent over to tighten her shoelaces when the intercom announced: “Ten seconds to launch.”

With an inhale of breath, she stood up and walked over to the crystal clear tube in small steps. All sound ceased once she was inside. Nothing but her pulse ringing in her ears could be heard.

Once they were back in their floor, Calypso took the closest thing and threw
