Revisiting Old FavoritesWhen I was younger--between the ages of ten and fifteen or sixteen, thereabouts, my absolute favorite singer was Enya. I would listen to her cd's and snap up every cd and cassette tape of hers I could find. The only reason I bought the Fellowship of the Ring soundtrack was because two songs on it were by her. I practiced drawing by copying pictures of her off of the CD cases.Revisiting Old Favorites12 hours ago in Personal Journal More Like This
Like you know my feelings for Cecile Corbel or Lindsey Stirling nowadays, right? Take that, multiply it a couple times, and you will have my enthusiasm for Enya then.
But for some reason (probably the fact that at the time our internet sucked and I never thought to look for DVDs for some reason), I never watched any of her music videos, aside from "May it Be" on the Fellowship of the Ring DVD.
So then last night I randomly looked her up just because and
This WAS one of my favorite Enya songs.
Now is IS my favorite Enya song.
A much younger me would have eaten this up for sure and I'm sad she didn't get to s
DreamShe gazed into the sky, sighing softly, as memories of her childhood returned to her. She missed the seemingly carefree evenings spent with her younger brothers exchanging stories of adventures and tales of mischievous fairies. She slowly braided her soft pale brown hair as her eyes fixated upon stars whose importance she'd long forgotten, enjoying her reminisce.Dream1 day ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
Slowly she felt the sensation of floating off into a slumber and yet it seemed those stars never lost their shine, growing larger and more into focus. As far as drawing it does happen occasionally but I'd really rather focus on my writing. I mean most of what I end up wanting to draw is basically my stories anyway so why not just improve the medium they're already in.
Again any input would be appreciated.
Writing Exercise 1Samantha Johnson stood scrutinizing herself in the bathroom mirror again. She'd never found herself to be exceptionally pretty. Her arms were the wrong kind of lanky, with their awkward hanging not being helped by her shoulders which always seem to slump forward. Her stomach was not quite flat enough, while her hips and thighs weren't the right kind of thick. Not to mention her boobs weren't quite perky enough nor were they exceptionally large. Her bland dull brown hair just limply hung across her shoulders, not knowing if it wanted to be wavy or straight. Then there was her face, her lips sat there too thin for their own good below a nose which turned up towards small dark eyes which gave off the impression of being beady.Writing Exercise 14 days ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
She sighed as a soft voice somewhere inside her head reassured her that she wasn't ugly. True as it was she was also not beautiful, much like her name, not exactly pretty but still rather bland. 'You really shouldn't say such things' the same soft voice came from wi
