“Xzavioooor…” A female vampire whined. “Slow dooown. You’re speed walking again.” She had to pick up the pace to catch up to her mate. “Why are you so persistent? It’s the brightest time of day. We should be back home or staying in the shade.” The dark haired woman covered her golden eyes with her hand. She could feel the sun draining her energy.
“Sorry.” He slowed down and walked at her pace. “There’s an interesting item in the shop at the dock.” Xzavior explained. “Jake called and was wondering if we could check it out. He said we could take it with us if you wanted.” The older vampire intertwined his fingers with hers. “Do you want me to carry you all the way there Piper?” He asked her with a smirk.
“N-No!” She blushed. “I’m not a child…” She
