Goblins vs. Gnomes Challenge

Create Your Own Mischievous Goblin or Gnome!

The battle has been declared. Side with either the cunning and dangerous Goblins or the clever and wacky Gnomes. Create your own Goblin or Gnome inspired by Hearthstone's new expansion pack, Goblins vs Gnomes, and include the invention they would use to confuse, confound, or explode their opponents.

It's up to you: pick as your inspiration the measured ingenuity of the Gnomes or the trademarked fearlessness of Goblins. Make a new invention or reinterpret an old one.

The Gentleman Gallade

Critique by AuraKnight14
Well, it is a very ncie picture, but Gallade and Gardevoir look too humany, with the chiselled features and the realistic neck-thingies...
Pokemon isn't in the real wold, and you should express that in your art! Apart from that, everything else works nicely. The colouring and shading technique, the setting looks nice, but what are those little crescent shape-thingies on Gallade, gardevoir and Kirlia's heads? I'm assuming they're sweat makrs, but it's hard to tell... NOW I AM JUST FILLING UP THE COMMENT WITH RANDOM WORDS BECAUSE I RAN OUT OF THINGS TO CRITIQUE AND I NEEDED SOME MORE WORDS!

A Night to Remember

Critique by Keptrashrik
Well, usually people want the bad news first, so that's where I will start (although considering the quality of the piece, there is almost no bad news to speak of). The ONLY thing I can say from an objective point of view is that you see flowers pretty often, but I only say that because originality is one of the rating values. Apart from that though, the deep and rich colors really draw the eye and the milder red tone of the background really makes the subject matter stand out. The use of blur also adds an excellent sense of depth (through foreshortening) and further enhances the focus on the pedals. The grain filter is also a nice touch. It gives it a painted feel, almost. I actually had a hard time telling whether or not it was a really good painting, or a cleverly modified photo! Very well done, Vintage!

( Process Video ) - Happiness

Critique by Aster-the-star
Simply, wow! This so very absolutely beautiful that there are no words to describe this works. I'm a fan of your work but those are not what make this piece a beauty in my eyes. I didn't even know that it was yours and was shocked to learn it(partly because I couldn't recognise it was yours even though the hints were clear).
The art looks so realistic. It would be hard to believe it is an anime pic. The focus on the subject of the art by slightly blurring the background is beautiful. The emotion is captured so perfectly that it makes me feel the happiness she felt at that moment. Everything brings the picture alive and infront of my eyes. You can see how at loss of words I am.
However, I guess you could work on those flowers in her hands a little more. It would make the picture even more better. For some reason, to me they look two dimensional and distract me a little. Other than that, it is an awesome. Your efforts are clearly visible.
To sum up, it would render anyone speechless. This is the epitome of beauty and emotions in itself.
