I goofed up big time in writing the Dracula article. “Dracula” is such a favorite novel of mine that it never dawned on me that I should bone up on some basic facts about the story and its author, Bram Stoker. So I didn’t even glance at Wikipedia before I started writing. Big mistake.

Most denizens of the West think of New Zealand as a little known outpost of civilization somewhere beyond Australia at the ends of the Earth. Could any land be any farther from the European motherland, birthplace of the Renaissance that is the Genesis-point of the visual arts narrative we continue expanding and evolving today? And yet this remote country of islands in the Pacific has suddenly become a cinematic storytelling powerhouse, a film-friendly factory for the creation of some of the most important touchstone mass entertainment experiences to influence our popular culture in recent years.

Coffee is a very personal part of a person’s life. Having a “way you take your coffee” is as much an indication of the crossing over into adulthood as a first broken heart. Even when psychically rudderless and adrift, awaking to morning in one of those blank margins of one’s life, there is always the next start, a new start—in that first cup of coffee. Coffee is the one nonjudgmental comrade forever who never betrays.

There’s something about the brilliant colors of the dying leaves of autumn that reflects the wonders and the sorrows of life.  It’s as if by waking up each morning into this beautiful world of natural colors, we are being given our bittersweet reward for surviving another year on the planet.  We are regaled with a brief seasonal ceremony of the turning of the leaves, nature’s gift for our eyes as a promise she will soon return after her yearly rest.  And then it’s time to let winter’s grey pallor unfold over us in blankets of dark cold rain and bright brisk snows; we sleep, the autumn’s leaves having promised… the warming light will soon return.

Bridges hold many meanings for us. They represent a short cut (but with a certain danger; as evolved apes, falling is still a primal fear). They represent boundaries and crossing over them. They signify one’s past and one’s future.

Photographers today seek mainly to create ghostly effects with their cameras. In the earliest days of photography, the hope was that actual ghosts would be captured on film, proof for the believers.

I really impressed by your work fast to have done, but did not know this character a little research and see who has a tout and sexy spirit, things that are not beautifully reflects your art, rather like a innocent girl jajajaja, but otherwise you congratulations I love how you were queues outside allo mapping focus light, leftovers and the lights are very well besides the striking good eyes as you were, you may be missing some more detail but since you said you did it fast,I would have liked to see her full body perhaps it would be more powerful, good in short it is a good job and I congratulate you, I hope you do well at the expo fence, some I hope to go, ciao....

Greetings

Overall - completely stunning

visual - the few birds in focus, rest in flight and blurred. Fog hazing out background without completely removing or making it look like a white sheet.

coloring - i think it sets a very subtle tone without earth tones. While the image at first glance appears dark, the model just brightens it enough with the fog to keep it from to dark.

Setup - i like how she is close to the edge she is looking at, yet the birds draw you back through the whole picture and back to her. Also really like how the object on her waist is similar to the bird in focus in flight, almost as if she summoned them.

Impact - again absolutely stunning.

please keep in mind I'm not a professional in any way.

Some joy for you

Initially when looking at this picture it looks simple. It looks like a simple butterfly out trying to pollinate some flowers and to collect pollen. But what is extremely intelligible about this picture is how normal focus was selective for the butterfly and that group of flowers that he's on top of. The flowers closer to the front are blurred, and the background is blurred. As mentioned in the caption, this picture was inspired by a nature photo of a butterfly. Because the detail looks very accurate, I could see this picture taking some time to make, a lot looking back and forth; even with a really good computer program.

When I look in the back ground the blue of the sky is soft and blends nicely with the rest of the blur. When I look at flowers I don't see any really pronounced shadowing underneath them. So I see that this was a day where the sun wasn't very strong, there might have been a nice wind blowing but not too strong. This was a day where it wasn't all that hot, it might have actually been a little cool. The coloring of the picture really makes me think of a very nice and temperate Saturday afternoon.

If this is a picture that you would use to wish someone good luck, you chose very accurately. In the picture the butterfly has pollen available to him in abundance, there are no predators, no pressure from the sun, a nice wind assist with flight, etc. You know what that can translate to.

But this is a very beautiful picture in number of ways. The colors are soft and soothing on the eyes, while yet the yellow gives the picture a soft spoken energy to it. The selective focus along with how the butterfly was colored can give this picture a somewhat hypnotic effect. For these reasons, this would be a good picture to have in a doctor's/dentist's office, or even a place that just deals with tense people that need to calmed down in some way.

Thank you for the color scheme, the setting, the detail, and for posting it to share it with others. Very Good Work!
